1.What is Internet?

The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that exchange data. The Internet is commonly known as net.

2.What is Internet explorer?

Internet explorer is a web browser used to view information on the web. Internet explorer makes easier to get the most of the information from the world wide web.

3.What are the different parts of Internet Explorer Window?

Tittle bar, Menubar, Standard Tool bar, Addressbar, Content Area and Status bar are the different parts of Internet Explorer window.

4.What is the use of a Status bar in Internet explorer window?

The Status bar is located at the bottom of the window. It displays the current state of the  web page .It also displays the size of web page, percentage of the webpage that has opened or downloaded, and error in web page, etc.

5.What is the use of Address bar?

Address bar in Internet explorer is located below the standard toolbar. It displays the URL of the page that is being displayed in the content Area.

6.What is the use of Content Area?

Content Area displays the web page. It contains images, text, hyperlink and files.

7.What is browsing?

Browsing the web is easier and faster. To start browsing, click any link connected to the web page. A link can be a picture, a 3D image or colored text.

8.How to open a web page?

To open a web page, type the Internet address in the Address bar. example:- www. microsoft.com, and then click the  GO button. The microsoft web page appears.

9.How to open a Hyper link?

           To open a Hyperlink ,follow any one of the step given below:

            ◊  Click the Hyperlink to open a new web page in the Internet Explorer

              Right - Click the hyperlink and click Open from the shortcut menu.The web page appears, on the same window.

            ◊  Right click the hyperlink and click open in New window from the shortcut menu.The web page opens in a new window.

10. What is the use of Home button?

Home button is used to return to the page that appears each time.

11.What is Email?

E-mail is one of the fastest and easiest means of communication. The messages are sent across the world in a fraction of seconds. The cost of sending and receiving email is free.

12.What is chatting?

Chatting is a form of communication. It is some what similar to talking over phone to some one. In  chatting, we can type the text and chat with another person in real time.

13.What is Video conferencing?

Video conferencing is the face to face communication process. It is mainly used in offices where people work in different places and we required to meet for discussion. The Video conferencing requires several tools like Web camera, Visual display, User Interface, Microphone, Internet connection etc.
